I have amazing news! We have the cure! It’s been paid for! It’s for anyone who wants to accept it! No repeat vaccinations necessary! This cure is so amazing, so deep, so profound that once you’ve received it you will never need to come back to the well because living water will spring up from within you! Healing water. Oh death where is your victory!? Where is your sting!? You can stop fearing a virus or even a vaccination because once you’ve received this cure, YOU WILL NEVER DIE! It’s true, we should be worried about those who have not received the cure! They will die a death that is true DEATH, in fact they are currently dead.
Knowing we have the cure and not being Christs arms to hold those in despair, not being His hands to offer help to the hopeless, not being willing to speak His words of truth and life to those dying in sin, not being willing to touch the “leprous”, in order to prolong this temporary and sinful life, this is NOT love. This is not CARING. This is not flattening lines that are eternal. We know for certain our days in these bodies are numbered and God is the only one who knows how many they are. There has never been a death that surprised God. But He is the RESURRECTION AND THE LIFE!
Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live” and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this?” John 11:25-26
“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear though the earth gives way, though the mountains be moved into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains tremble at its swelling.” Psalm 46:1–3
“Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? And not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Father. But even the hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not, therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows. So everyone who acknowledges me before men, I also will acknowledge before my Father who is in heaven.” Matthew 10:29–32
For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 6:23
And you were dead in the trespasses and sins Ephesians 2:13
But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved Ephesians 2: 4-5
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead 1 Peter 1:3
(I’m not advocating the disregard of all safety measures mandated from our governing authorities due to Covid, nor am I saying to be disrespectful of those who are afraid. The cure we have is so much more important and permanent, we as Christians have the responsibility to look for creative work arounds to reach the lost, hurting and dying. We cannot distance ourselves from a lost world, leaving them to death.)
With such HOPE that we have we cannot stay silent!
