If we make rules solely to avoid offending the most legalistic person in our church, we will not inevitably become more righteous and holy; rather, we’ll become more legalistic. The most easily offended person shouldn’t be our standard for righteousness. God’s Word should be, and may we tremble at the thought of adding or taking away from it.
